By Unity Blott For Mailonline. Rose Clifford, 19, signed up to a dating site to help fund her student lifestyle – where men not only pick up the hefty restaurant bill, but also pay for the pleasure of her company. But Rose insists that there is no pressure to have a sexual relationship with her dining companions – as she does nothing more than chat with the men for dinner. Rose said: ‘So far the money I have earned from dating has paid for my car insurance, designer shoes and handbags and the rest I have put away into my savings. But men must abide by her strict ‘no touching policy’, Rose insists. Rose shows off a pink Prada clutch bag left and designer shoes right purchased with the proceeds of her dates.

The controversial dating website sees people in financial need appeal for help from rich, often much older, men and women. Students have taken to advertising themselves on “sugar daddy” websites in a bid to pay their way through university. Undergraduates are shunning part-time jobs and instead resorting to drastic new measures to fund their studies. Formerly known as Seeking Arrangement, the website allows women to post photographs and then accept messages from “high net worth” men.
Their financial assets are listed on their profile – giving a clear indication of how much “help” they can offer. The website allows anyone to set up a profile to find a ‘sugar daddy’, and students even get a free upgrade to a premium membership, supposedly so they can get help with finances while studying. Much like traditional dating websites, Seeking. This includes a profile picture, but many of the accounts are anonymous with blurred faces or pictures taken from a distance.
There is also a written profile from the person seeking a ‘sugar daddy’, with one profile stating that one ‘lucky’ man might get to experience her ‘naughty side’. Some profiles are however not always only looking for what you think they are, and some specify they are looking for career advice. One student from Birmingham is looking for “their sugar daddy”, they say, with their profile listing them as 20 years old and studying for a Bachelor’s Degree.
